Dark Secrets of Female Labor Camp Revealed

A recently released report provides a glimpse into the brutal reality of life in a Chinese forced labor camp.

Compiled through interviews with provincial procurators, former camp officials, and former and current prisoners, the report claims that prisoners regularly worked 12-14 hour days and were often subjected to beatings. According to the facility’s former deputy director, the camp generated approximately $100 million Renminbi (over US $16 million) per year from goods produced by forced labor.
